Admission to Candidacy leading to Art Teacher Certification
Undergraduate Certification
Art students wishing to earn a major in art education leading to certification in the State of Georgia to teach preK - 12 grade art must follow a number of program and College of Education-specific certification requirements and admission process. It is important to be informed of these requirements and the admission process very early in your college career.

Graduate Level Certification through the Post-Bac Program
Art students who already have a degree in art who wish to earn art education certification in art education in the State of Georgia to teach preK - 12 grade art must follow a slightly different program and College of Education-specific certification requirements and admission process. Students must first apply for acceptance into the AASU Post-Bacculearate Art Education Certification program and the AASU Graduate Teacher Certification Program. A certified copy of the students transcripts will be required. Please download the following forms for Transcript evaluation for art education.
