The Armstrong Atlantic State University Masquers are now accepting submissions of one-act plays for their Third Annual Coastal Empire New Play Festival.
All submissions should be for one-act plays no longer than 1 hour in duration. We are particularly looking for unpublished plays with either no or a minimal production history (no professional productions). All initial submissions will be reviewed by festival staff.

Submissions Should Include: (In Text-Only Files)

• Play Synopsis (no more than 1 page in length)
• Detailed Character Breakdown (ethnicity, special skills required, age, etc.)
• Short Biography of the Playwright (no more than 1 page in length)

Please do not send unsolicited scripts, resumes, or screenplays.

Based upon evaluation of these criteria, the Festival Director will then solicit submissions of full scripts for review. All solicited scripts will be read by a jury of theatre artists from the university and Coastal Empire community. The jury will choose three scripts to be produced in AASU's newly renovated Jenkins Hall Theatre Mainstage in Spring of 2010.
