All the while the guests furiously work to unearth the truths behind the bizarre circumstances that led to his absurd predicament in this uproarious farce. -- Performances are at 7:30 p.m. (3 p.m. only on June 28) in the recently renovated AASU Jenkins Hall Theater. July 2009

July 9-12: AASU Department of Art, Music & Theatre presents The Murderer by Anthony Shaffer as the second of three suspenseful productions in its Summer of Murder Mysteries. -- In this drama mystery, Norman and his girlfriend, Millie, share a twisted interest in the subject of history. As a hobby, they routinely re-enact the most grotesque murders on record. The play begins ghoulishly and without a spoken word to reveal what is apparently the murder of Millie followed by Norman's undertaking to dispose the body inconspicuously. Startlingly, the police interrupt him. We become horrifically uncertain whether we have witnessed a stunning charade or a murder cover-up. An absolute thriller. -- Performances are at 7:30 p.m. (3 p.m. only on July 12) in the recently renovated AASU Jenkins Hall Theater. General admission: Only $10. Audience discretion is advised for violence. Call 344.2556 for information.

July 23-26: AASU Department of Art, Music & Theatre presents The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane by Laird Koenig as the final production of its Summer of Murder Mysteries. -- Just the girl next door? Not really... this seemingly innocent thirteen year-old possesses a curious maturity and independent self-confidence that to her east coast, small town neighbors are at the same time unsettling, intriguing and beguiling. She must be hiding something. But what? As interest in her doings intensifies, certain disturbing truths are exposed. Is she safe? Find out. Koenig's thriller may be best known for its 1976 screenplay version starring Jody Foster and Martin Sheen. -- Performances are at 7:30 p.m. (3 p.m. only on July 26) in AASU Jenkins Hall Theater. General admission: Only $10. Audience discretion is advised for violence. Call 344.2556 for information.
