Undergraduate Certification

Music students wishing to earn a major in music education leading to certification in the State of Georgia to teach preK - 12 grade music must follow a number of program and College of Education-specific certification requirements and admission process. It is important to be informed of these requirements and the admission process very early in your college career.

Graduate Level Certification through the Post-Bac Program

Music students who already have a degree in art who wish to earn music education certification in music education in the State of Georgia to teach preK - 12 grade music must follow a slightly different program and College of Education-specific certification requirements and admission process. Students must first apply for acceptance into the AASU Post-Bacculearate Music Education Certification Program and the AASU Graduate Teacher Certification Program.
