PianoFest 2010 and AASU
Piano Scholarship Competition

February 12-13, 2010
Armstrong Atlantic State University - Savannah, Georgia

The keyboard division at Armstrong Atlantic State University is pleased to announce PianoFest 2010. The competition will include:

’ΔΆ A number of college-level departmental performance scholarships for applied piano study (available to high school seniors)
’ΔΆ Cash prizes for elementary, middle school and high school students
First place winners from 2009 in the elementary, middle school and high school divisions may participate for comments.

PianoFest 2010 will open Friday evening, February 12, at 7:30 p.m. with a concert by Scott Price in the Fine Arts Auditorium. The competitions, masterclasses and workshops will take place on Saturday, February 12, with the winners of each division featured in a recital at the conclusion of the events. The entry fee for students is $12. This fee also includes the Friday evening concert.

PianoFest offers opportunities for students of all ages to participate in an evaluation process that is encouraging, thoughtful, educational and rewarding. Please read the following information carefully and copy it as needed for your studio and classroom needs. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Scott Price will present two piano pedagogy workshops for teachers on Saturday, February 13. Please join us for this exciting opportunity. The fee for the workshop is $20 ($25 at the door).
