AASU Theatre Program

The Theatre program at AASU is divided between Jenkins Hall and Fine Arts Hall on the AASU campus. Fine Arts Hall, home to the main office of the Department of Art, Music and Theatre, houses numerous classrooms, rehearsal rooms, and studio spaces. The Fine Arts Gallery and the one thousand seat Fine Arts Auditorium are also in this building.

A short walk across the quad from Fine Arts Hall is Jenkins Hall, home to the Theatre faculty offices, the scene shop and the 200 seat Jenkins Hall Theater. The theater is equipped with a counter weight fly system, flexible lighting positions, a full complement of lighting instruments, standard two scene pre-set computerized board and easy access to the scene shop. The shop is equipped with pretty much every piece of cool machinery you would want to shake a stick at. Well, you wouldn't want to really shake a stick at it - because you could poke someone's eye out. At any rate, if you are looking to rip, cut, slice, chop, and pound something - the scene shop is the place for you.

There are three major areas in which a student might focus including: a Performance Track, a Design/Technical Track and a Management Track.
